A Homage: Daar komen de Putters – here come the Goldfinches!
In 2013 the artists Leonard van de Ven and Rens Krikhaar started ‘De Hommage’.
They invited more than 45 professional artists to make a tribute to the 17th century artist Carel Fabritius, and his famous painting The Goldfinch.
Fabritius died young, caught in the explosion of the Delft gunpowder magazine, October 12, 1654, which destroyed a quarter of the city, along with his studio and many of his paintings. Only about a dozen paintings have survived.
Pepijn made 2 paintings for the exhibition ‘Ouverture, Daar komen de Putters!’ in Museum Castle Keukenhof, Lisse.
